I often get asked “which are the most important protocols for mental health, physical health, and performance?”

Let’s of course remember the 5 core pillars of health that everyone needs to pay attention to every 24 hours (while acknowledging no one is perfect on all 5, 100% of the time). They are 1) get sufficient amounts of quality sleep, 2) quality nutrition, which of course is much debated, but there are some basic features of what constitutes quality nutrition that almost everyone agrees on, and we’ve covered those on the Huberman Lab podcast, in particular in the episode with expert guest @biolayne 3) exercise, ideally a combination of resistance training and cardiovascular training across the week, 4) quality social connection 5) sunlight, ideally in the morning, and also in the late afternoon evening (to set your circadian clocks and thereby enhance daytime mood focus and alertness and nighttime sleep and support your immune system etc.
